Je ne sais pas si vous vous en êtes rendu compte, mais PlayPause avait disparu. La faute à la crise (sans doute) : l’hébergeur a mis la clef sous la porte, est parti sans laisser d’adresse en débranchant le serveur, comme ça, du jour au lendemain, façon « Méga-surprise ! », ne me laissant pour seul interlocuteur qu’un peu loquace mailer-daemon et pas de sauvegarde à jour.
C’est donc presque tel quel que PlayPause revient. On n’en est jamais qu’à la sixième ou septième version depuis 2004, ce qui, à l’échelle du web, n’est tout de même pas grand chose. Juste un petit lifting, pas la
grande transition. Les hormones HTML5 et les changements
identitaires (Dotclear vs WordPress), ça sera pour une autre fois…

Pour fêter ça, une petite sélection d’une heure pile qui nous ramène aux balbutiements thématiques de ce blog : RadioLala, vaguement kitsch, joyeusement niaise, simplement légère. Parce que si on ne se met pas tous à chanter « lalala » à l’approche de l’hiver, je ne vois pas comment on va y arriver…

After a short technical hiatus, PlayPause is back with a new URL (now .fr), a slightly revamped design and (almost) clean archives. Links in previous posts have been removed, but are still available on request.

I’m glad to introduce the new installment in the RadioLala series. Even if I haven’t been publicly working on this thematic selection for a very long time, my ears are always chasing lalalas when I hear new tracks.
Here, you’ll get Nippon human beatboxing, a bossa nova interpretation of croaking (which undisputedly falls into the lala category), funky shouts, Spanish pop objections, groovy vocal overdubs, more Japanese whispered chewing, chorusing damsels à la Atom Heart, jazzy French polyphony, a restless disco lullaby (I’m not sure it would « rock » anyone to sleep, though), a jolly schoolyard ensemble, the most hilarious chipmunk lala ever in English pop history, more Iberian shalalalala-ohohs, a house anthem that will make you dance and sing, gypsy heartthrobs, a romantisch ballad which has incredibly grown in me (probably because I don’t get a word in German), one of Randy Newman’s first hits sung in Doo-wop style, and finally soulful murmurs from Philly…
Very easy listening indeed, even easier singing.
